What are your shipping rates?
Standard shipping rates apply. USPS and UPS options are available.
The shipping seems high; why is that?
Shipping chocolate requires special handling all year round, and in the summer months, protection against heat damage. Amber Lyn has no control over shipping costs, and the ongoing increases in fuels and transportation have dramatically increased them. We subsidize the cost of shipping for all our customers.
How can I ensure my order will not melt during the Summer months?
We ship using the best option to get your chocolates delivered in their best condition. To prevent melting during transit, we recommend purchasing an insulated box for $10.50 or thermal wrap for $5 (options available at checkout). Orders only ship Monday through Wednesday to prevent the gel packs (and chocolate) from melting during the shipping process over the weekends. Please consider this when placing your order.
If you are in a shipping zone that requires 3 or more shipping days, your order will be shipped on the Monday or Tuesday after your order is placed, unless Next Day or 2nd Day Express shipping is selected. It is IMPORTANT to ship to an address where the package can be delivered indoors and not left outside.
For orders to the Southern states (Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida) or in areas experiencing consistent temperatures above 85° F, we STRONGLY suggest you choose express shipping to ensure that your package can arrive in a timely manner, allowing the gel packs to stay cold to keep your treats from melting.
Express Guarantee
If express shipping and thermal boxes are selected, we guarantee that your chocolate will arrive unmelted IF your package is delivered indoors and not left outside. If the chocolate still arrives melted, we will replace or refund your purchase immediately. Amber Lyn cannot guarantee your chocolate will arrive unmelted if ground shipping is selected, a thermal box is not purchased, or it is left outside.
What if my order arrives melted or heat-damaged?
Melted and re-hardened chocolate is still safe to consume, though it might look streaky and untempered. If your order arrives melted or heat-damaged and was shipped using our suggested method of shipping, please call us at (801) 973-1322, or email us at info@amberlynchocolates.com for assistance.
When will my order ship?
Orders are typically filled within 24-48 business hours after they are received. If an order comes in after 1 PM MST Wednesday, it will possibly be held to ship on the following Monday. This prevents the shipment from being stored in a carrier’s unconditioned space during transit over the weekend. If you are in a shipping zone that requires 3 or more shipping days, your order will be shipped on the Monday or Tuesday after your order is placed, unless Next Day or 2nd Day Express shipping is selected.
How long will it take to get my order?
Orders are typically filled within 24-48 business hours after they are received. If a product is out of stock and we cannot fulfill an order, a customer service representative will contact you for further instructions. Once shipped by standard delivery, orders normally take 2 to 5 days to arrive, depending on where you live (2 days to the West Coast, 3 to 5 days to the East Coast).
Shipping may be delayed to protect your chocolate from being held in transit over a weekend. If you need your order shipped ASAP, please leave a comment in the “Order Notes” at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate.
How can I track my order?
After we have processed your order, you will receive a shipping confirmation via email, which will contain your tracking number.
Do you ship to APO/FPO addresses?
The Amber Lyn website currently ships to contiguous U.S. addresses only, which excludes Alaska and Hawaii. Amber Lyn does not ship internationally at this time. Shipments to an APO/PO address must be sent via USPS and cannot be guaranteed to arrive by a specific date. These orders may take up to 21 business days.
How much will it cost to ship my order?
Order totals are calculated at the time of purchase and applied after discounts. Shipping prices may vary during different times of the year.
